| About us |
|
Our accountancy office was set up in Launceston before the Second World War and so we are fully entitled to describe ourselves as well established. We have the 1935 accounts for a business run by a family who are still clients of ours!
The key aims of Nevill Hovey when it was first established in Launceston were to provide to the local business community as well as to private individuals professional accountancy services of the highest quality. That remains the essence of the firm's current mission, namely, to be acknowledged as the best provider of accountancy and related services in the Launceston area.
Today the team at Nevill Hovey & Co Limited consists of two directors and seven other team members.
We look after private individuals, the self-employed, business partners, limited companies, charities and clubs. We do their VAT returns, their accounts, their audit, their payroll, their tax returns, their Companies House stuff. We advise on business development and corporate governance. We save people tax: we do tax planning for Capital Gains Tax and for Inheritance Tax. We enjoy what we do and so we do it well.
Ours is a happy, friendly, supportive office with an open working environment. We insist on high standards and IT capability and, to achieve this, we invest in a programme of continuous training. We are members of SWAT (South West Accountancy Training). They review the quality of our work at regular intervals to make sure that we are maintaining our standards and keeping up with the continuing changes in tax law and other regulations.
